My name is Raphael and I run Bitdreams where I create beautiful apps. I am also the Head of Mobile at Pony where I help people move around cities in Europe in a more sustainable and environmental friendly way. I've build apps both big and small, both as a full-time developer and as a freelancer. For me, building software is a work of craftsmanship and I strive to consistently improve my craft and deliver top quality products.
I've been using Swift on production since the language was first released in 2014 , and I have contributed to several OSS projects specially during the major Swift version changes.
I have been running Bitdreams, a small software development studio based on Estonia since 2017. Concomitantly to that, for the past 3 years, I've been doing all software related things at Pony and before that, I worked as a Senior iOS Engineer at Hole19 for 3 years where I also had the opportunity to develop for the Apple Watch and, before that, 4 years as a Generalist Programmer at Inspira (doing everything from iOS, Python backends, web front-ends).
My newest app, Tangerine was featured on the "Apps we love" section of the AppStore by Apple just 3 days after launching. Tangerine is a modern habit tracker that can also correlate your mood with your ability to stick with your plans. It makes use of a lot of modern iOS concepts such as Siri integration, custom notification UI, widgets, dark mode, iCloud sync and more.
I am also the creator of Duomov, an app that enables two iOS devices to record a synchronised dual perspective (split-screen) video by establishing a peer-to-peer WiFi connection between the devices (no Internet connection is required). The app is currently available in: English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal) and Spanish.
